Landscape and Nature Photography from the North of Europe

I announced it already a while ago, and after a few weeks of preparation it’s now ready and I’m happy to announce the launch of my first e-book: Cornwall – A Photographic Journey.

In March 2009 I took a trip to Cornwall to escape the winter around here and to photograph one of my favorite subjects… The coast. It has been a little bit of a dream of mine to go there ever since I watched David Noton’s DVD “Chasing the Light” until I finally booked a flight and decided to go there. And it was worth it.

For me this journey marked a new chapter in my photography and I have been traveling a lot ever since to locations all over the north of Scandinavia.

The book is a summary of my blog posts of this trip plus a few new images and the exif data of the images. I have prepared the design with the iPad in mind and tested the design in the iBook app and the Folio app on the iPad in which it looks like I would expect it to.

The book features 20 full page images complete with exif data and 3000 words.

I hope you like following me on my journey along the coast of Cornwall. You can download the e-book from this page for free. If you enjoy the book feel free to drop me a comment here.

Excellent work Sven! I really enjoyed reading everything about your trip! I must say that for your first adventure into publishing you did a great job. There are a couple small things here and there that could use some polishing, but overall I think you did an outstanding job! Keep up the great work, and I look forward to more great images, and books, from you!

Fantastic images and great text. I haven’t read through every detail but I will do this definitely when there is more time. First I thought, oh damn, he has just put in small images inbetween the text, but then the masterpieces appeared large after the text. Maybe you should think of having the image on one side of the book and add the text to the other book so that there is a large photo and some text to it. But hey, anyway this is just a fantastic work. Keep on going.

      Hi Horst,

thanks a lot. Very nice to hear that you like it. I was thinking about adding text that way, but somehow it didn’t seem to be useful, as for example on the iPad text and image wouldn’t be visible at the same time.

Thanks again, and greetings from Finland. The land full of finnish companies :-)

    Hello Sven,

I downloaded your e-book few weeks ago but I didn’t have time to write something about it.

It is wonderful and I thank you for sharing your work with us!

I love the way you highlighted that place!

    Thanks,
