I have been writing here before already on my frustration on how to present a huge panorama on the blog. Even in my galleries the images are getting to small. The best presentable solution seems to be in form of a video.
As with some of my previous panoramic images I have assembled a short video with the two larger images that I have made during that journey. I hope you enjoy the next minute while the video drives you along the lake.
In my post “The Red Rocks” from the Finmark area (Norwegian Lappland), I mentioned that I had also recorded a clip (actually it were two) as a videoblog for the blog. I finally got it done and added a images as a slideshow to it as well.
I had some fun listening to it since it seems I didn’t quite knew where I have been photographing back then! Luckily I have figured that out in the meanwhile, this location actually is a few kilometres south of the city of Berlevag.
But now enough of talking/writing here’s the video-blog and I hope you enjoy it:
I haven’t been posting another fresh entry in my videoblog for quite some time now and I think it’s about time to change that. A quick follow-up and a preview to an upcoming image with some behind-the-scenes kind of material.
And it comes with a little back story… Having my 5d Mk II with me, I planned to record a nice video in HD quality from location. Maybe even adding a few close-ups here and there. So far the plan sounds nice. Much to my own embarrassment I have to admit that the person behind the camera (read: me) did not read the manual and therefore didn’t manage to record the video with the camera. So I had to opt for plan “B” and use the iPhone for that purpose. It’s of course not bad, but most likely it will be the last time I record a videoblog with the iPhone.
I hope though you will find it informative and fun and another image from the outing will go live on the blog in the not so distant future.
Last week I blogged about about a brief encounter with a young and very curious fox and posted a few pictures. What wasn’t ready by then, was the video that I recorded a little earlier. But now it’s done and since it’s only a few seconds second I added a slideshow.
At one point he came so close to the car that the focus of my G9 was off, and before I could refocus he disappeared before coming back. But then again, you probably already know that.
I admit.. This really took quite some time to finish this little clip. I planned to finish it already after I returned from my first trip from Norway. But what can I say… sometimes things just take longer than expected. And in some cases.. they take even longer.
Either way I got it done now. Nothing spectacular and not so entirely serious. I has become some sort of habit for me (not really a good one I have to say) to forget to turn off the time-lapse feature of my G9 But I can live with it.
I put this clip together last night and this time I opted for some background music/jingle. If it disturbs you, just turn down the volume.
And as the title suggest, there will be another clip coming. That’s going to be up in a future post and will only be… well, let’s save that for later.
